Cost: about $8-$9 (guava paste is around $4 and puff pastry can be found between $2-$5)
Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 24 pastries, 12 people, or 1 hungry husband. J/K
The verdict is that it tastes just like the bakery without the drive, lines, and expense.
PS: The pastry can be frozen prior to the baking step for about 3 months. Just bring it back to fridge temp and bake as normal.
PS2: Add cheese on top or bottom of the guava paste for a savory-sweet taste. Queso fresco is usually recommended.
